Tayo Amos is a director and filmmaker from the Bay Area and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. She loves to
tell stories in a variety of mediums: commercials for their brevity, narratives for their impact, and music videos for the range of artistic expression. While she is currently developing her first feature film, she aims to continue developing her craft within these other formats.
In February 2014, she was selected as one of the members of Team Oscar, an extraordinary opportunity to be a presenter during the Oscars telecast, validating her aspirations as a filmmaker. After graduating from Stanford University in 2014, Tayo was one of the participants in Stanford's Overseas Arts Seminar in Amsterdam. After living abroad in Barcelona and traveling for a year, she returned to the Bay Area.
She's now relocated in Los Angeles pursuing her MFA in Film Production at the University of South California. During her time there, she aims to refine her directing craft both on campus and in the industry.
Tayo's passion for filmmaking comes from her deep belief that the positive, visual representation of women and people of color in media can truly impact our world. She is an avid lover of singing, craft beer, traveling, and seafood.
